Recycling and Waste Transfer Station

Where: The Town of Esperance Waste Transfer and Recycling Facility is located on Route 30A, approximately 1 mile south of the Village of Sloansville.

When: The facility is staffed on Saturdays from 7A.M. until 1 P.M. Waste and recycling are accepted only during this time.

Plastic

BOTTLES with #1- 7 symbol on bottom (i.e. water bottles, soda bottles, detergent bottles, shampoo containers, milk jugs, etc.) TO PREPARE: Rinse bottles. Throw away any caps. Labels do not need to be removed. HARD PLASTIC (i.e. tableware, toys, etc.)

Glass Bottles & Jars

Beverage/ food bottles & jars, any color. (i. e. beer bottles, liquor bottles, salsa jars, jelly jars, etc.) TO PREPARE: Rinse bottles. Throw away any caps. Labels do not need to be removed.

Metal

All food & beverage cans (tin, aluminum, etc.) place lids inside cans Aluminum foil Aluminum baking tins TO PREPARE: Rinse food cans, aluminum foil and baking tins. Throw away plastic caps.
Labels do not need to be removed.

Gable Top & Aseptic Containers

(recycle with bottles, cans and jars)
Gable top containers (milk & juice cartons, etc.) Aseptic containers (drink boxes, soy milk containers, soup boxes) TO PREPARE: Rinse and flatten. Remove straws from boxes.

Empty latex paint cans (dry out and remove lids) Aerosol cans that are not empty or previously contained hazardous material (lubricants, pesticides, paint, etc.).

All White Goods (old household appliances)

Taken for free (no tickets required) every 3rd Saturday.

Waste (garbage)

Accepted, bagged in clear plastic bags. Waste is charged at $2.00 per bag. Tickets are sold as a Five(5) -bag ticket for $10.00 may be purchased at the Town Hall from the clerk during normal business hours.

Bulk Item Table

A full $10.00 Ticket must be purchased for the any bulk item and the appropriate punches will be punched for the item as stated below; the reminder of the punches on the ticket can be used for garbage or towards any other bult item.
